Availability
Friday is our (new for 2024) changeover day; after consultation with previous visitors. This should help to avoid peak travel-days/traffic, ferry/tunnel queues etc, and allow for a full weekend in the gîte. However we remain flexible, and will always try to be helpful, subject to existing bookings / enquiries. Where possible, we are happy to add extra days, e.g. to make a ten-day stay. Whatever your requirements, please ask; we will try to be as accommodating as possible.

A ‘welcome pack’ awaits your arrival: milk, bread, butter, tea & coffee, and a bottle of wine.
Guests are requested to leave Le Tilleul clean and tidy. ‘Normal’ cleaning between lets (and mid-way in a two-week let) is included in the rent; but we reserve the right to make a charge if the house is left in an unreasonable state.
Arrival time: from 4.30pm. Departure time: by 10.30am, please.
Additional cleaning is available, if required, during your stay; at a cost of £15 per hour.

Conditions
Deposit of 25%, along with completed booking form, is requested at time of booking (non-refundable), balance payable in full 6 weeks before arrival.
Security deposit required, £250, normally refundable (subject to breakage etc) within 2 weeks of the end of your stay; cleared funds required before beginning of stay, please. Please note: deposit refund will be made in £GBP to a UK bank, without charge. If refund to a non-UK bank is requested, it will be sent as a GBP transfer and will be converted at whatever rate applies at the time; there may be charges for which the recipient will be liable.
Electricity is included in the rental cost from June - September. At other times, there is a modest additional charge; similarly for wood, according to consumption.
We recommend that guests take out travel / cancellation insurance.
Payment can be made in euros by arrangement, using the exchange rate applicable at the time of payment.
Covid-19
Restrictions have now largely been relaxed. However, we ask any visitor who thinks they may have covid before or during their stay, to inform us.
